Nonperturbative effects of electron-phonon interaction and electron-electron interaction. The role of quantum effects in structural and charge-density-wave transitions in materials. Beyond Migdal-Eliashberg approaches to superconductivity, such as Dynamical Mean Field Theory (DMFT) for s-wave gaps.
